Advance Wars: Dual Strike for the Nintendo DS is one of maybe five titles on the system that really make you appreciate the touch screen. While the series started on the Gameboy Advance, and was well received, it's come into its own in this latest iteration. The touch screen allows you to interact with your units at a level that should remind users of a PC interface more than a handheld.

The Advance Wars series originally appeared on the Gameboy Advance; now that the title has moved to the Nintendo DS, the development team has been able to introduce far more complex gameplay without over complicating the controls. While the game is fun and well designed, Dual Strike is defined by its control system, since this sort of title would become overwhelming without the touch screen to make navigation easy.
